Mahua Acharya
Mahua Acharya is a global leader in green finance and clean mobility, best known as the architect of India’s landmark e-bus program. With over 20 years’ experience spanning government, international organizations, and industry, she has pioneered renewable energy, electric mobility, and carbon markets. She was the MD & CEO of Convergence Energy Services Limited, Government of India; Assistant Director-General, Global Green Growth Institute, Korea and has held positions at the World Bank and industry in her early career.
Mahua is co-founder faculty of Sustainable Finance, an executive education program at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, serves on the boards of multiple international entities (including Chair of the Board of Emergent Forest Finance Accelerator www.emergent.com) and has appeared on international and Indian listings of women in leadership.
She has won 5 awards in 2021, 7 awards in 2022 and 5 wards in 2023 for her work. She was featured by Bloomberg International on 3rd December 2024. Mahua holds a Masters degree from Yale University, USA.

Prasanna Acharya
Prasanna spent 25 years in investment banking and corporate finance in India, and has played a pioneering role in shaping India’s infrastructure financing ecosystem. With IDFC Capital, one of the country’s earliest institutions in this space, his work has helped unlock capital for transformative projects including airports, ports, highways, power plants and green infrastructure, all of which had a significant role in laying the foundation for sustainable growth in the country. His foray into electric mobility started with co-designing the Payment Security Mechanism for electric buses, now in place by the Government of India for all major contracts of the Government of India.
Prasanna is an engineer by training and holds an MBA for the Indian Institute of Management.

Manish Dutta Pandey
Manish has over 12 years of experience in public transportation strategy, policy, and operations. He was closely involved in delivering the electric bus program during his tenure at WRI, and has worked to transform bus-based mobility systems. Manish’s career spans leading global institutions such as the World Bank and WRI, as well as innovative ventures like Shuttl. He brings deep expertise in electric bus contracting, has close relationships with operators and manufacturers, well versed in sustainable transit, and deeply committed to turning ambitious ideas into practical solutions.
He is an architect by training, and holds a Master’s degree in Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

Nishant Goel
Nishant is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience in policy advisory, fundraising, and infrastructure financing. He has supported government projects and institutions on electric mobility and sustainable growth pathways. He played a pivotal role in designing the procurement model for India’s flagship PM-eBus Sewa Program, shaping the future of clean urban mobility. His career reflects a rare blend of financial expertise and policy innovation, committed to unlocking capital for transformative infrastructure.
Nishant holds a CFA Level II from CFA Institute, USA.

Vishal has conducted institutional research on intermediate public transport modes, offering insights into inclusive and sustainable urban mobility.
Vishal is a lawyer by training with a Masters from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Renowned for his vision and expertise, he continues to guide governments, institutions, and businesses toward more inclusive, resilient, and low-carbon urban futures
He has a Masters degree from, MIT, USA, and a PhD in Transport Economics, IIT Delhi.
